SHIPPING
We offer the following delivery services
Standard Delivery is £5.95 via Royal Mail. This is a tracked service sent on a 48-hour delivery service, with an estimated delivery timeframe of 2–4 working days. You will receive delivery notifications via email.
Next Working Day Delivery is £6.95 via our courier partners DPD, Parcelforce, or Royal Mail. This is a tracked service, and you will receive delivery notifications via email.
Saturday Delivery is available at a higher rate. Orders placed before 1pm on a Friday can select our Saturday delivery option at checkout. If you choose a specific delivery date that falls on a Saturday, this will also be charged at the Saturday delivery rate.
Orders placed after 1pm will be processed the following working day.
Shipping Days: Monday to Friday (we do not ship orders on weekends or bank holidays).
Unfortunately, we are currently unable to deliver to the Republic of Ireland within the standard rate. Please contact us for a delivery quote.
You will receive an email confirmation with tracking information when your order has been dispatched.
Nominated Delivery Day
Preferred delivery dates can be selected up to 60 days in advance using our delivery date calendar at checkout. Please note these are preferred delivery dates and are not guaranteed.
For cakes for special occasions, we recommend selecting a delivery date at least 4 days in advance of your decorating date or event. All of our cakes arrive with a long shelf life to allow for this.
RETURNS
At the Original Cake Company, we take the utmost care to provide our customers with the freshest and highest-quality products. We understand the importance of food safety and the sensitive nature of our fresh food items. Due to the nature of our products and for the health and safety of all our customers, we regret to inform you that we cannot accept returns on food items.
As a matter of food safety and hygiene, we cannot resell any items once they have left our control. This policy is in place to protect the health and well-being of our customers.
If you ever receive a product that is damaged or spoiled please contact our customer support team. We will be more than happy to assist you in resolving any issues related to product quality or fulfilment errors.

The Original Cake Company do not accept responsibility for damage to goods in transit. By proceeding with your order you are agreeing to these terms and accept this liability.
However, we do understand that this can be disappointing – please call us on 01522 694411 or email contact@originalcake.co.uk with pictures of your damaged products and we will endeavour to help in any way possible.
