Dense and disappointingly dry

We had great expectations for these cakes and were keen to give them a try well before the Christmas period. Sadly, they’ve come as a big disappointment. The main body of the cake is extremely dense in texture, almost chewy. The taste is dry, not moist, and there’s not even a sniff of brandy. Perhaps it evaporated in the post. Either way, you could get a lot better for less in the supermarket. We’re now debating whether or not to give the other seven cakes away as presents. Personally, I think we’ll play safe and drop them off in the local food bank instead.

Lovely fruit loads in there very very nice cake b ut not much taste of brandy in it needs a little more thank u very much
